Artificial Landscape is an unprecedented program that will shift the landscape of one of the world’s busiest pedestrian crossing. Famed for its vibrant urban life, Hong Kong is a city that never stops, never sleeps. To both inhabitants and visitors alike, the overriding urban experience is one of speed, disassociation, and alienation within an endlessly dense urban jungle. In response to this, the works present various approaches to the ideas of artificiality and landscapes in order to challenge the boundaries of our habituated reality.
